​I recognize that it is a privilege to play on a travel soccer team. As with all privileges, there comes the responsibility to maintain that privilege. One of my main responsibilities is to conduct myself in a way that reflects positively on myself, my family, coaches, managers, teammates, Warriors FC, and the game of soccer. I understand that players who do not conduct themselves appropriately will be subject to discipline that could include suspension from practices and games or the removal from their team.

 

As a Warriors FC player:

• I will play the game for the game’s sake, and not just to please my parents or manager.

• I will arrive at all practices in soccer appropriate attire, including shin guards and turf shoes or

  cleats.

• I will work for the good of my team and give my best effort at all times.

• I will respect the game, play fairly, and follow its rules and regulations.

• I will show respect to the officials of the game and of the league.

• I will demonstrate good sportsmanship before, during, and after games.

• I will conduct myself with honor and dignity and treat other players as I would like to be treated.

• I will control my temper at all times, and will resist the temptation of retaliation.

• I will be courteous to opposing teams and treat all players and managers with respect.

• I will refrain from criticism of my teammates or opponents before, during, or after a game.

• I will be modest when successful and gracious in defeat.

• I will respect the privilege of the use of public facilities and clean up after my practices and games.

• I will not disrespect my teammates, coaches, managers, or staff, and will accept the decisions of

  the coaches, managers, referees, and league officials without arguments or derogatory comments.

  I understand this will not be tolerated.

• I will never use abusive or insulting language on or off the soccer field, and will treat everyone

  with dignity.

• I will do my very best in school, recognizing that my schoolwork takes precedence over my

  extracurricular activities.

• I will represent my club in a positive manner both during and outside of club commitments.

• I recognize that playing a team sport requires a commitment to the team to include being reliable

  in one’s attendance for practices and games, giving adequate notice of unavoidable absences from practices and games, being supportive of teammates, particularly those less skillful, and being attentive during practices and games.

  
  I will try at all times to follow all the Warriors FC and NCSA rules and policies. I have read and understood the Warriors FC Player Code of Conduct. I understand that any violation of this code may result in disciplinary action being taken against me. This code of conduct will be enforced during the current soccer season.
